Oral History Association Meeting in Denver
The annual meeting of the Oral History Association will be held in Denver Oct. 12–16, 2011. More information is available at the association's website.

 

Colorado Springs Symposium
The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center will host its 75th Anniversary Symposium, Colorado's Cultural Crossroads in late July, 2011.

The following schedule has been published, subject to change:

Friday, July 29
6:00 pm: Keynote (Michael Paglia, Art Critic for Westword)
7:00 pm: The Letters Project (Pat Musick, son of a New Deal artist and NNDPA member)

Saturday, July 30
10:00 am: Richard Marold, NNDPA member, portrays President Roosevelt (planned emphasis on George Biddle and murals)
11:00 am: Henry A. Clausen: Model for America’s Most Important Artists (lecture by Doug Clausen)
12:00 pm: Lunch Break (with performance TBD)
2:00 pm: CSFAC Documentary Premier Screening
3:00 pm: Panel Discussion: Colorado’s Cultural Crossroads

The Fine Arts Center's building was designed by John Gaw Meem, a New Deal architect in Santa Fe, NM.
